Windows 98, Millenium, 2000 and XP Dial up Connection Configuration This page will walk you step by step on how to set up a dial up connection to us and how to setup your email. If you have any questions after reading this, feel free to contact us. Step 1. Go to your start menu and click on the run selection at the bottom. In the box provided, type the word "inetwiz" without the quotation marks and click the ok button. Make sure the dot is in the box that says I connect using my phone line and then click next. Step 2. The next step you will encounter will be for entering the phone number. You will need to make sure that the box that says : Use area code and dialing properties DOES NOT have a checkmark in it. In the space provided, simply enter the number "contact us for your Local Number". You do not have to use the dash if you do not want to. After you have done that simply hit next. Step 3. The next step is for you to put in your username and password. This will be the username and password that you signed up for with us. Hit next when you are finished. Step 4. The next step is to give the connection a name. It can be anything you want it to be. For easy identification you can use MCTXS. Hit next when you are done. Step 5. Step five is the start of the mail setup. Make sure the dot is in the yes box and hit next. Step 6. The next step will ask for a name. It can be anything you want it to be just as before. Naming it MCTXS will make it easy to recognize though. Hit next after you finish. Step 7. In step 7 you enter your email address. Your email address is the one you signed up for with us @mctxs.com. Example : webmaster@mctxs.com webmaster would be the name I signed up for. Step 8. Now for the mail servers. Both of the boxes in this step will contain the same thing. You will put mail.mctxs.com in both boxes. Step 9. This is the next to the last step. Simply enter in your account name (the name before the @ of your email address) and password here. If you would like it to save your password, click in the save password box before hitting next. Step 10. Click on the finish button on the last screen. Step 11. If you want to set your home page to our web site, this is how its done: Go into the control panel and click on Internet Options, then you will see towards the top of the page: Home Page, just type in this address: http://www.mctxs.com/ and then go to the bottom and click on the APPLY button, then OK and that's all there is to it. Thats it!!! You are ready to go. You should be able to connect to the internet by opening your browser. If you have any trouble, feel free to contact us.
